• Job Description

  ● Gathers, monitors, and maintains coal market intelligence database such as global NEWC Index, Platts Coal Trader, Commodity reports from agencies, banks, and consultants to identify market trends and developments, and potential threats and opportunities.
  ● Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly coal market updates and outlook to Fuel Management group and Mancom.
  ● Prepares Rolling-Three-Months-Forecast (RTMF) of coal prices.
  ● Prepares long term forecast of coal prices for coal BU’s strategic planning.
  ● Assists Superiors in coal supply contract negotiation by providing relevant market information.
  ● Evaluates the economics of coal purchases.
  ● Leads projects / feasibility studies related to coal market.
  ● Develops and maintains database of coal mines and suppliers including mine profile, specifications, firing characteristics, and combustion test results of each coal.
  ● Performs other tasks that maybe assigned by his/her superior.
