  • Job Description

    THE JOB: The successful candidate shall be primarily responsible for executing human resource function in the following key result areas:

    1. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION: Plans, directs and monitors the work activities of subordinates and staff relating to compensation and benefits. Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and managing salary, bonus and benefit packages for employees. Manages the implementation of various types of employee benefits. Revises salary structure as a result of new wage order and secures approval from the top management. Reviews appointment papers reflecting personnel and salary movements of employees. Evaluates existing employee benefits packages and recommends improvements according to approved budget. Handles the processing of semi-monthly payroll of executives and managers.

    2. LABOR RELATIONS: Responsible for reviewing, processing & monitoring voluntary arbitration, administrative cases and disciplinary actions. Facilitates Labor-Management Committee meetings, projects and programs. Communicates issues and concerns with union officers and other labor representatives. Reviews and analyzes union proposal for CBA and management's counter proposal. Acts as secretariat for Collective Bargaining Agreement and point person for all union and legal matters pertaining to employment and benefits. Ensures company's practices are in compliance with the Labor Code of the Philippines. Provides labor/industrial relations reports required by top management necessary for decision-making.

    3. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: Directs, plans and monitors the implementation of employee services, HR programs and corporate activities. Reviews and recommends necessary revision in HR policies and procedures. Act as member of the administrative investigation panel, process administrative cases and implement applicable disciplinary measures corresponding to employee infractions and violations. Ensures the consistent administration of mandatory requirements for employee welfare.

    4. POLICY FORMULATION: Reviews existing practices and relevant policies related to employee relations and recommends appropriate revisions consistent with the company's philosophies and princliples. Formulates related labor/industrial relations policies and procedures for implementation of line managers. Provides orientation to line managers on new and revised policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    • College Graduate of any Social Science or business course
    • Must have at least five years solid experience in compensation and benefits administration in managerial capacity from labor-intensive manufacturing company
    • Knowledgeable in Labor Law with exposure in a unionized organization and/or CBA negotiation
    • Skilled in formulating and implementing HR programs and employee welfare
    • Has good leadership and human relations skills, results-oriented and analytical
    • Has above average communication and presentation skills
    • Experience in a Japanese manufacturing set-up is an advantage
