    THE PLANT GENERAL MANAGER reports directly to the Supply Chain Assistant to the President and has the responsibility and accountability for ensuring safe and reliable production of products.

    Provide leadership and set direction for all operational aspects of the plant, including operations and product movements.

    Member of the EXCOM who contribute to development of vision, strategy and tactics for the long-term performance of the production. Ensure delivery of business plan production targets and product qualities.

    Candidate must have minimum ten (10) years of Managerial experience in Manufacturing with significant exposure to motorcycle or automotive operations, including technical, operations and/or maintenance assignment.

    Roles and Responsibilities
    • Plan, schedule, manage and direct the day-to-day business activities of the plant to include safe and efficient operations while optimizing production.
    • Manage and direct the maintenance and operations staff to complete timely and professional preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment and assets.
    • Establish systems to collect metrics analyze productivity and set performance targets that will meet the revenue and cost goals.
    • Manage and provide leadership and guidance to all manufacturing personnel. This includes providing leadership, support, and collaboration with on-site personnel outside of direct operations, such as safety and compliance.
    • Serve as the principal emergency contact for all issues and incidents arising in the plant.
    • Collaborate with the compliance team for the health, safety and environmental regulations. Works to continuously identify and champion efforts to improve operational efficiency and workplace safety.
    • Demonstrate proactive leadership to all manufacturing employees and effectively manage and resolve all performance issues, coordinating with appropriate Human Resource Management team.
    • Manage and assist in development of the manufacturing OPEX and Capital budgets. Identifies capital maintaining and revenue growth opportunities for further development.
    • Work closely with the Safety department, both at manufacturing and corporate office, to ensure safe and compliant manufacturing operations consistent with the Occupational Safety laws and appropriate level of documented investigation under the safety policies and procedures.
    • Direct plant personnel in specialized tasks according to their individual abilities.
    • Develop skills and careers of all manufacturing employees.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, other Engineering or Business
    • Minimum ten (10) years of Managerial experience in Manufacturing with significant exposure to motorcycle or automotive operations. Including technical, operations and/or maintenance assignments
    • Professional Certification & Licensure are of great advantage
    • Demonstrated effective leadership experience at the extended leadership team level and with a represented workforce
    • Demonstrated strong health and safety focus, systems thinking skills, management system skills and effective communication skills
    • Experience operating at site leadership team level including handling on and off-site emergency situations and crisis response
    • Proven financial acumen
    • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
    • Experience with Manning standards, utilization computations and the like
    • Experience with Lean 6 Sigma is advantage
    • Excellent communication skills and experience of external stakeholder relations
    • Ability to work effectively across business and functions upwards, laterally and downwards
    • Strong Coaching and Mentoring skills
    • Strong Communication and Listening skills
