• Job Description

  The Assistant Manager (Design) leads the Design Team. Ensures that required designs/ calculations and
  drawings are completed on time with evaluation in terms of value engineering, Adheres to the established
  specifications and standards. Directs and organizes the design section to meet company objectives on pre and post
  bidding covering conceptual design as well as design for construction, as required by the prospective clients and
  projects.
   Initiates the development, changes and implementation of design in the department along with the
  supervision and management of the group
   Ensures that design and required calculations and drawings are completed on time and adheres to the
  established specifications, code standards, safety and health regulations
   Provides economical and realistic designs
   Ensures that the project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budget, time
  frame and procedure
   Attends pre-bid meetings and site inspections, as required, for design and technical aspect of proposal
   Performs design conceptualization, scheduling, checking and evaluation as per client’s requirements
  - Checks client requirements and specifications are clearly defined and considered in the design
  - In-charge of the final checking and recommends approval of the design, drawings & specifications prior
  to inclusion in the bid submission, permit, construction or As-built Drawings
  - Reads and understands bid documents issued by the client
   Liaises / coordinates with client, design specialist, site and subcon-specialist related to technical input,
  coordination and clarification
