  • Job Description

    • The major function of this role is to manage the Compliance department and to ensure the relevant tasks are being
    performed in line with the local/regional legal requirements, and the company’s policy and guidelines

    ISO
    • Plans, leads, directs, controls, and monitors to ensure that processes needed for ISO9001:2015, EMS14001:2015 &
    ISO 45001:2018 as well as other relevant ISO standards are established, implemented, and maintained.
    • Ensures that scheduled internal quality audit (IQ) is carried out on time.
    • Summarizes and prepares the internal quality audit result.
    • Trains, and guides all employees on quality-related matters.
    • Prepares the company-wide quality objectives (e.g., training need analysis, company-wide training program, and
    company-wide objective)
    • Conducts periodic reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
    • Acts as the appointed Quality Management Representative (QMR) of the company
    Risk Management
    • Ensures that risk management systems are implemented effectively and followed in all departments.
    • Supervises and monitors all known and newly arising key risks that could lead to substantial losses.
    • Systematically identifies, records, analyses, evaluates, and finds optimum means/options to mitigate or transfer
    risks.
    • Keeps management closely informed and prepares risk management system reports.
    Insurance, Claims, and Contracts
    • Pursues claims with respective parties, handles, and follows up claims with relevant parties, insurance companies,
    and all stakeholders in the claimed supply chain.
    • Takes charge of all operational insurance policies: Freight forwarding liability, all risk, property, and 3rd party
    insurance policies for example.
    • Review, maintain, and update all the legal contracts/agreements but not limited to facility agreements, customer
    contracts, insurance policies, contracts with 3rd party service providers, and other contracts that might deem
    necessary in the operations of the company.
    • Responsible to comply, monitor, and update with all applicable legal requirements about international and local
    regulations related to freight forwarding and warehousing services

    • Act as the authorized representative of the company about all legal correspondence with the Corporate Secretary
    and report the necessary legal issues related to employment, Environmental, health, and safety, etc.
    • Responsible to review the capabilities, conduct an on-site inspection and evaluate the performance of all external
    providers in the performance of the Vendor Accreditations.
    General Tasks:
    • Makes sure business is conducted following all local and applicable international laws, rules, and regulations. File
    appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies
    • Oversees DG shipment handling with the operations department and makes sure every shipment is handled in
    compliance with local and international requirements for Air, Ocean, and Road. Also, checks the documentation‘s
    correctness.
    • Liaises with the regional compliance team and fulfilling regional compliance requirements locally.
    • Conducts or jointly conducts investigations on both internal and external compliance issues.
    • Coordinate the formation of contingency, business continuity, and emergency response plans
    • Establishes and maintains the company’s safety and security policy.
    • Establishes vendor management and assessment process and documents and checks periodically the compliance
    status.
    • Arranges internal or external official orientation/training to all new staff members as per the requirement of the
    company: Behaviour Base Safety, Compliance, Basic Hazardous, and Non-Hazardous Chemical training, and Safety
    training as per the country and relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
    • Promptly carries out accident investigations, and liaise with the authorities and safety and security specialist on
    producing subsequent reports and recommendations.
    • Updates all the laws, rules & regulations in the IMS and keeps it always updated.
    • Ensures that documents are controlled and tracked and no obsolete documents are being used.
    • Reviews the Master Product Summary List (MPSL) and assists in the product risk assessments
    • Any other jobs assigned by the Managing Director and/or regional Chief Compliance Officer

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    • Knowledge of local and international compliance and well-versed with ISO9001:2015, EMS14001:2015 & ISO
    45001:2018 requirements
    • Graduate of any 4-year college course
    • Can perform an internal quality audit
    • Articulate in using the English language-oral/ written
    • With at least 2 years of experience as QMR in a corporate set-up
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials
    • Knowledge of Supply-Chain-Security
    • High level of process understanding and data analytical approach
    • Professional working attitude
    • Highly motivated to learn new processes, receive feedback, and work independently
    • Highly trainable and approachable
    • Ability to conduct training and seminar
    • Practical knowledge & experience in the logistics industry is mandatory
