     Responsible in benchmarking and formulation of the key projects with R&D to support business goals.
     Develop new concepts, new products, flavors, prototypes for both the customers and the Sales Team for presentation to clients.
     Continuous reformulation and align process improvements with the CIIE team for cost improvement or solutions that may be beneficial to the company and as required by the clients.
     Find solutions and improvements of formulations by coordinating with the different business units and align the need.
     Your responsibility includes, but not limited to investigating technology development, concept development and new product development, among other areas.
     You identify areas for improvement, cost efficiencies and how any changes might be conducted. Review and update institutional R&D policies and conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.
     Responsible for managing subordinates, on-site and off-site, by providing direct or general supervision.
     Mentor, coach, develop and set strategy for the team.
     Develop succession plans for each responsible team members.
     Coordinate and prioritize projects, prepare and present reports of results.
     Keep up-to-date on trends, new technical developments and competitor’s activities by monitoring applications for processing systems and ingredients in the dairy and ice cream sectors.
     Deliver and create value added solutions for customers. Build strong technical credibility with customers.
     Provide technical services to customers, sales and business units as needed (prototype presentations, ideations, plant trials, troubleshooting and training).
     Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with the different departments for their specific projects.
     Transfer new technologies, products and manufacturing process into and out of of company.
     Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes and equipment.
     Suggest training tools to enhance employee performance and skill development.
     Develop concepts, products and solutions by working with company business units.
     Monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring meeting of goals.
     Document all phases of research and development.
     Support the Sales Team to manage customer relationships and perform RFP review, customer visits if needed and product testing or trial runs.
     Supports the Executive Committee in the ideation, projects and plans in terms of new product launches.
     Ensures, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the R&D Systems.
     Monitors the effective process implementation of specific project launches from laboratory scale to production procedures.
     Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and make representations to senior administrators.
     Provides for motivation and familiarization of the R&D team.
     Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerning with Research and Development.
     Conducts sensory audits in the production to ensure that the implementation is in accordance to the required process.
     Provides technical support to Senior Management on any R&D related subjects.
     Carries out any in-house R&D training.
     Liaises between Clients on R&D related issues.
     Coordinate with Regulatory, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain, in any R&D related input into new projects and modification programs.
     Participates in meetings prior to procurement and installation activities that requires R&D inputs.
     Performs Risk Assessment.
     Preparation of R&D and Process documentation for new tenders.
     Provides R&D support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial production startup activities with private label customers.
     Ensure continuous improvement of the company, its projects and its manufacturing.
     Perform and assist all other tasks not stipulated on this document but required by the company.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - He/She must be a graduate of BS FOOD TECHNOLOGY or BS Chemical Engineer
    - Has a "minimum" of 5 years or more, experience in Ice Cream formulation (from Nestle, Selecta, Creamline or Magnolia)
    - Must already be in the Manager level (if Senior Supervisor level, may be possible)
    - Lives in the South (Laguna or near the Factory) otherwise, willing to relocate at his/her own expense
