    Under the close supervision of the Project Manager, acts as a general specialist in a variety of disciplines including but not limited to equipment, civil, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical. Project Engineer/Architect acts as the overall coordinator between the client, Project Manager, and subcontractors. The Project Engineer/Architect creates designs to meet client specifications, creates and proposes budget and time estimations, and act as an intermediary between the client and the architect team.
    1. Validates instructions received by conferring with the immediate superior to clarify understanding thereof.

    2. Confirms role within and apart of the project team by coordinating with the superior and other members of the project team to facilitate establishment of responsibilities.

    3. Reviews project proposals by conferring with the immediate superior to develop project objectives and specifications.

    4. Consults with construction professionals by liaising to determine feasibility of the project.

    5. Works around constraining factors by determining town planning legislations, environment impact and project budget to ensure compliance thereof.

    6. Calculates timeframes and sequences by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates to determine project specifications.

    7. Creates Construction Schedule by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements to determine project responsibilities.

    8. Chooses materials to be used by reviewing specification requirements to ensure adherence to client preference.

    9. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions to facilitate adherence to the plan and standards previously defined.

    10. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems to conduct immediate necessary changes and ensure timely project wrap-up.

    11. Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts to facilitate adherence to project budget.

    12. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions to keep immediate superior, management and client posted on the progress of the project.

    13. Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations to comply with organization and state policies.

    14. Maintains project manual and conduct by documenting on-site observations and reviews to facilitate information process.
    15. Prepares for close-out by drafting observation reports to facilitate turn-over to client.

    16. Performs other functions which may be required by the immediate superior from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    1. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Civil Engineering
    2. Knowledgeable in all aspects of construction
    3. With at least three years work experience in similar work environment
