  • Job Description

    •Acts as Secretary of the Environment, Health, and Safety Committee with responsibilities in accordance to DOLE Rule 1047 of the
    Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
    •Handle and represent the company in compliance with DENR as PCO
    •Establishes budget proposals for the operation of the Occupational Health and Safety office and specific training programs;
    •Increases health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization;
    •Investigates and reports on all serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring to students, staff and/or visitors to the appropriate senior official, and to assist in the investigation of all accidents/incidents that result in substantial damage to company properties;
    •Investigates and reports on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the QMD Head and/or other appropriate senior staff;
    •Conducts, as necessary, the safety inspection of any company facility;
    •Responds to fires and other emergencies on or about the company property;
    •Receives reports from and respond to orders issued by Department of Labor and Employment inspectors;
    •Acts as liaison with all related governmental bodies and regulating agencies;
    •Coordinates the company’s emergency procedures and act as the company’s emergency on-site coordinator;
    •Conducts emergency preparedness;
    •Develops, reviews, and updates appropriate sections of the company’s Emergency Procedures Manual;
    •Coordinates the selection and distribution of emergency communications equipment to each company and administrative/support
    departments.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Physics or equivalent.
    • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
    • Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in Environmental/Health/Safety and as Pollution Control Officer
    •Knowledge in environment Law compliance, industrial waste management, occupational safety, ergonomics, construction safety and
    organizational Leadership, industrial hygiene and toxicology.
    •Excellent in oral and written communication skills
    •Highly analytical and decisive
