  • Serves as the onsite/offshore coordinator
  • Relay the style and tone of the original language
  • Responsible in gathering information and clarifying project requirements or specifications from the client
  • Responsible for project coordination in different aspects of the project schedule
  • Performs translation of documents from Japanese to English and vice versa as needed in the project
  • Produces Japanese and/or English reports or documentations required in the project
  • Acts as communication bridge between Japanese clients and the local developers during online meetings, email or phone communications, and other discussions
  • Converts concepts in the source language to equivalent concepts in the target language
  • Compile information, such as technical terms used in specifications, into glossaries and terminology software/hardware/databases to be used in translations
